Q. Does the Wireless Siren have a rechargeable battery?
A. No. It uses a CR123 Lithium battery as its back-up, and only uses the battery in the event of a power failure. It is recommended the battery be changed every 5 years.
Q. How do I determine how many Wireless Sirens to use?
A. The Wireless Siren is very loud on alarm at 85 dBA. It is recommended the siren be located in the center of the structure, and one per floor. If you are using it to alert for fire, minimum conditions must be met with NFPA72.

Connect+™Connect Outdoor Siren Strobe
The panel supports up to eight RE636 sirens at one time.
To remove the inner cover, push down the two latches, then pull out the clear inner cover.
Cover can hang from the bottom of the enclosure and the inner cover can clip into the cover for convenience while work is being done inside the enclosure.
To change the strobe lens, unscrew the cover screw until it is past the lens, and then push on the corner of the lens to loosen and remove. Select desired color.
Power (PWR) LED will turn on when the siren is awake (every 18 seconds on battery and always when powered from wall).
RF LED will blink when a packet is received.
Enroll packets are automatically sent every 18 seconds when in enroll mode. Pressing or releasing the tamper switch while the sensor is in enroll mode will send another enroll packet.
Q: How many Connect+ Outdoor Siren Strobes can I use on one system?
A: You can place up to 8 wireless Connect+ Outdoor Sirens on the system.
Q: Can the volume be adjusted?
A: Yes, the volume is adjusted Connect+ installer application, or through the web portal.

A: The wireless siren has a special transmitter that looks similar to a door/window transmitter that connects to the control’s siren output. Upon an alarm, 12VDC is sent to the special transmitter which wirelessly activates the remote siren.
Q: Does the siren have rechargeable batteries?
A: No. The wireless siren plugs into a wall outlet for power, and then uses a CR123 lithium battery as a back-up.
Q: Can I use more than one wireless siren?
A: Yes, and just the one special transmitter can activate multiple sirens within the range of the transmitter.
