Repeaters (Optional)

RE620 – Connect + Sensor Repeater

RE621 – Connect + Touchpad Range Extender

RE508X – Connect + 8-Zone Hardwire to Wireless Translator

The placement of the Connect + should be at least six feet from the customer’s router so the WiFi receivers do not interfere with each other.

If you experience limited range on the WiFi Touchpads, separate the Connect + further from the router.

The bluetooth keypads are limited in range to about 30′.

Q: What is the range of the wireless equipment?

A: Our experience in large cities, where the RF noise level is high, the typical limit of most sensors is 70 ft.  The NanoMax, being a miniature sensor, has an average range of 40 ft.  Touchpads are on WiFi and have a average range of 50′, but the Bluetooth Keypads have a more limited range of about 30′

Q: How are the touchpads powered?

A: The touchpads, both the Flat Mount and Slimline, are powered by 12VDC, with a power transformer, which is included.

Q: Is the Connect + a good solution to replace a legacy hardwire system?

A: Yes, not only can sensors be changed from hardwire to wireless, with the use of the RE508X Hardwire to Wireless Translator, it can take 8 hardwire zones and convert them to Cryptix wireless.

Q: Can the Alula cameras be viewed on the touchpads?

A: Yes, they can be viewed, including the Alula video doorbell.

Q: What Z-Wave devices can be controlled by the Connect +?

A: Most Z-Wave devices are compatible.

Q: Is there a siren included?

A: Yes, the Connect + has a build-in siren that can be optionally programmed off, as some customers may want wireless sirens.

Touchpads

Slimline Touchpad

The Slimline Touchpad controls every aspect of the Connect + Security & Fire system, together with Cameras, Video Doorbell, Home Automation Z-Wave devices and Thermostats.

For legacy systems, the Slimline Touchpad can be added to the BAT-Connect Communicator, providing control for the Security System, Cameras, Video Doorbell and Home Automation Z-Wave devices for most DSC, Honeywell and GE controls.

  • 7-inch color capacitive touchscreen
  • Real-time system status
  • Communicates via WIFI
  • View and control cameras, answer video doorbell, review clips, set as favorites to the dashboard
  • Powered by 12VDC either by direct hardwire connection or Plug-In Transformer (included)
  • Rechargeable battery-back-up
  • Includes wall mount and tabletop stand
  • Available in White or Black
  • 7.5” W x 4.25” T
  • 5-Year Limited Warranty

  • RE667B-R
Slimline Touchpad (Black, with Connect+ DeviceLink Card)

  • RE926RX
Device Link Card (use in slot 2)

Note:  Must have one DeviceLink Card for the Connect + control panel that can operate up to 4 touchpads. Can be purchased separately or as a kit where it is included with the touchpad.

This touchpad can be powered by 12VDC, which can be a seperate power supply from a legacy alarm control, etc.  It can also be powered by a 120VAC plug-in transformer that is included with the device.  It has a 10′ cord.

The touchpad receives its data via WiFi from either the Connect + control or the BAT Connect Communicator.  When ordering the Touchpads, if you are installing a Connect +, you will need the RE926RX Device Link card.

This card is installed in Slot 2.  This can be purchased as a kit (specified as -R after the part number). It will support up to four Touchpads.  The BAT-Connect has built-in Device Link capability that also supports up to four Touchpads.

Since these devices receive the data via WiFi, some interference could occur when the alarm site has multiple WiFi repeaters.  Also, placement of the BAT-Connect and Connect + control should be located at least six feet away from the customer’s WiFi router or gateway.  Otherwise, the two WiFi devices could interfere with each other, diminishing the range and connectivity of the devices.

Q: What control panels are compatible with the Slimline Touchpads?

A: The Slimline Touchpads work only with the Connect + control and the BAT-Connect Communicator.

Q: How many Touchpads can be on the system?

A: Both the Connect + and the BAT Connect support up to four Touchpads. Make sure that you have a RE926RX Device Link Card to be able to connect the Touchpads when installing a Connect + control.  It will support up to four Touchpads.

Q: If Keypads are also used on the Connect +, can up to four Touchpads still be supported?

A: Yes, there is no limit on adding Keypads.

Q: Is there a back-up battery for the Touchpads?

A: The Touchpads have a built-in rechargeable battery.  They will typically operate for 6-8 hours.  If there is an extended power failure, access is still obtainable through the customer’s smartphone app.

Q: What are the main differences between the Slimline Touchpad and the Flat Mount Touchpad.

A: Both Touchpads are essentially the same as far as functionality.  The Slimline is designed for both wall and desk mount, and its wall mount generally covers a single-gang wall plate. The Slimline sits about 3/8″ away from the wall and has a more modern look.

The Flat Mount Touchpad is designed for wall installation only, fits flat against the wall, and has a larger footprint to be able to hide a greater area of potential wall damage from an existing system.

Flat Mount Touchpad

The Flat Mount Touchpad controls every aspect of the Connect + Security & Fire system, together with Cameras, Video Doorbell, Home Automation Z-Wave devices and Thermostats.

For legacy systems, the Flat Mount Touchpad can be added to the BAT-Connect Communicator, providing control for the Security System, Cameras, Video Doorbell and Home Automation Z-Wave devices for most DSC, Honeywell and GE controls.
